Hi Fellow Members,After driving my E90 325i for almost 1 year. I have encounter one problem... I am not sure it what is wrong or maybe got Hantu . The aircon suddenly shut "off" by itself. But i can be turn on again. The problem only happen 2 times and i wonder why? anybody have any idea? Thanks and your comments are very much appreciated.

I had same problems on my M3 E92, resolved by local dealer, but not sure how they did :)

It could be the final stage resistor, cost only rm155 at Bavarian Auto and located underneath the steering column. I had that problem before on my E-46, changed that and the blower comes back to life properly.

thanks everyone for the advice.... i already make an appointment with AB. will see what they found...

Hi All,

Today i send in my car to AB to check the aircon issue and also for service. Apparently i was told there is a recall program and the description on the job sheet say "Fit the repair cable for battery-positive cable campaign". But i am not too sure what is all about as the service coordinator just tell me they going to replace a cable or something.

Maybe you guys would like call AB to check on the campaign

Magpie, today my aircon shut down by itself ...:-(. Have you resolve your issue? Have you try checking the fuse?

This may not be the same issue but just to share, my blower running at slow speed and won't response to the fan speed control. I bought a regulator and replace myself but realise problem persist. End up changing the blower fan motor which solved the problem. Now I have an extra regulator lying around.

Magpie, I encountered similar issue once. Car was due for service and when sent in, I told the service adviser about it. He said will do a programme / system reset. Been about 6 months and so far no issue.

Problem i encountered, air was slow even if i select max..took to an AC specialist where he confirm need to change blower unit which he quoted 1.5k so i ask him to fix it back..at home i took blower out and spray contact cleaner on the blower control unit(small electronic board) and ok till now..been 6 months without any issue..many saying the culprit might be the resistor/regulator on the blower control unit..on my case it was just a contact problem.

This is how the E90 blower motor and regulator looks like..

Anyone experienced AC fan speed problem before? Mine is stuck at 1st AC fan speed and not reacting to higher fan speed input. Even "MAX" setting doesn't alter the speed. Googled it and all pointed the fault to the "Blower Regulator", some called it final stage unit, FSU or blower resistor. A phone call to the part supplier said it will cost me RM350 for a non-original replacement while an original unit will cost RM600. Anyone has experience to share? or can there be any other faults?

I manage to remove the item, less than 5 minutes DIY, took the thing out, clean it, re-installed and problem presist.. :20:

Item 2 in the diagram.. Part code: 69119146765

Dear sifus.. My e90 325i the driver side aircond get cold slower than passenger side even i put both the same temperature, especially under the sun. Example even i put both 20c, driver side will start with abit of warm air, after the car driven for like 2-3min only started to get cold.. N not cold as passenger side under the same temperature. Anyone encounter this prob?? Tq tq.

Yesterday my 2011 E90 325i aircon suddenly shut off.. just a day before that I had brought my car to Wearnes Segambut to fix a rubbing sound from the steering column whenever I turned it..

They fixed the sound but was wondering if it caused the aircon shut down issue. Only happened once...

Hey guys,

Sorry for MIA for sometime. Anyway i send my car in to AB Glenmarie for a my 20k service and i complain to them about my aircon. So far it did not shut off by itself anymore (Touch Wood) and i hope it wont happen again. They say they just check and do some cleaning to the aircon system. How true is it i dont man.
