my e36 328 is leaking and got white smoke while engine was start.. how am i going to fix that and how much it will cost me?thanks

hi purungnyior,

is the white smoke only at cold starts for like a few minutes or continuously?
leaking top head or under carriage?

check head gasket (300+) or worst case time for a top overhaul(2K+)

keep us posted..

potential heavy leak..
1. head cover gasket
2. oil sump gasket
3. oil filter housing.
4. flywheel oil shield.
car with overheating history may drive to leak engine gasket. try to get bmw mechanic to identify ur engine leak.

Leaking somewhere from the engine... Couldnt find the exact leakage location.. I just can see the oil sum is wet.. And the white smoke continouesly like my car using 2t oil.. Hahahaaaa.. Do i need a top or full overhaul?

Just send to a recommended shop & get it accessed. Chances are your head/sump gasket retired lol. Mine is almost there.

Could be more damage, thats why its better to get it on a lift & check it out ;)

could be ya valve seals being the culprit ....

Agree..always begin with the cheaper solution before ending up with more expensive damage..
