advice on my e30 please.

my e30 had several problem. help me please.1. my engine does not go well, after reach 120km/h, macam susah nk go lepas tu. kne tekan abis2 gak laa. naek 160km/h. dah limit. what is the problem? i am just curious.2. sometimes it wont start. kejap okay, kejap x. i took over 1 hour to tried it. mech pon xtau ap fault. mech cakap, maybe camshaft sensor, or AFM, fuel pump. did u guys had da same prob?help me please, i really need ur help.

what happens when u run in lower gears?? Observe whether it's the same symptom at certain RPM. I reckoned you have same problems at corresponding RPM at other gears too... U might have a faulty AFM or worn camshaft or could be other things. check oso the distributor cap...

When u said won't start, does the starter crank but engine won't fire or there's no cranking at all?

your engine 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder??? and what's the engine capacity??

ouh, at lower gear i also can push until 3500rpm, then it will sounds weirdly. after i reached the 5th gear, it sounds like it want to shift until 6th. haa.

the starter works, but it wont starts at all. i rmember when i were in perak, it does not start at all. i had tried to jump it, push the car, but it wont. i tried to start it until the battery weak. haish, poor on me.

your description of your problem isn't specific.. Please be more detailed when you describe your problems. Otherwise, can't give you the right answers....

sorry, my bad doesnt give u da specification. the car will start after 1 hour and more, it must be cool then with god will it will start. kadang2 je prob nie jd. time tu mule laa nk mengamuk. da puas cari mechanic, but all give negative result.

try replacing your fuel pump relay.

fuel pump relay? does it come with the fuel pump, my dad just replace the fuel pump.

think it's the white colour one.. replacing that relay solved my E30 starting issues couple years back.

Check the following also.
1. Vaccume leaks
2. Ignotion wires / distributor cap

#1 is veru crucial 'cos with leaking vaccume hoses you will never get to start the car. You can crank the car how much you want but it will not start.

ejat, since mizhan suspected it could be the fuel pump relay, maybe you can get a spare one to try when the car refuse to start the next time. The relay is at the fuse box next to the front left strut tower... Ur mechanic should know, if he doesn't, then it's time to find another mechanic..

That was a suggestion for him to check for any leaks, not a diagnostic. I got no ablity to do teleport diagnostic. Even with vaccume leaks car can starts sometimes, sometimes it won't

A suggestion is good, but since he gave a better description of the starting problem, it would be more helpful with a more probable solution.
We can all give 1001 suggestions but it won't do much good...
