Do we have BMW advance driver training in Malaysia ? Saw they have it in Singapore.

They do, last organised a year ago I think. Hey el presidente, how about organising another one ??

AB has such a course. You can check with them if you cant wait for our club organised event.

How much does it cost to go with AB and our club ? what car will be used ? where is the vanue ?

About the RM1k mark
E46 325i or 330i previously
Sepang

Call them!
They are a phone call away....

Thank 3er. Will contact them.

Anybody has take up the training b4 ? any good ?

timlow - yes.. i"ve attended the training two years ago. good experience. lots of basic training... don't expect stunts like what you see in the movies... you do get to experience the safetly concepts like oversteer, understeer, braking, etc.

oh yeah. the fun bit is helping to expire a set of tires in a few hours ;)

Is the AB program as good as the PML one?

Because as we know, AB sucks at almost everything!

sounds like a good course...wouldnt want to try the AB course..sure to be a waste of money..as usual..

PML = Performance Motors Limited.
This is the BMW dealer in Singapore (like Auto Bavaria in Malaysia, which we frequently call AB here).

I've not experience with the PML driving courses. But I have attended the AB Advanced Driving Course.

For the RM1k that I paid at that time, I did think it was slightly overpriced (3 guys in a car, quite a bit of waiting around).

BUT, if you are NOT going to go all the way down to Singapore to attend the supposedly superior PML course (which I'm sure, will cost more), I urge you to attend the AB course.

Having some training is better than having no training at all.

EDIT;

BTW, the stuff taught at the AB course IS useful.

I attended the same training as The Necessary (his 2nd times then) and I think it worth the money. How often do you get to whacked a specially prep 330i. In fact the same 9 unit of 330i are transported all over this region for BMW Advanced Driver training program. The only different is the instructors, either from AB or from PML. You'll learn the things they listed in the content section of the PML website you posted. AB organized their in the car park at Sepang International Circuit (SIC) while PML organized their in the Pasir Gudang Circuit. For SIC, you should choose a time when there is no major event plan in SIC otherwise you get the chance to go round the SIC track.

Then I organized the training for our group from this club and we have quite a few members attended that sessions. You get a cert at the end of the course. I think the cost might have gone up now compared to 2 years ago.

If you are keen, contact AB and ask for the Advanced Driver Training department. Then I was dealing with En. Hamdan but not sure if he is still around.

I have call to AB, they will have the training on January 2006 at Sepang. Not much info can they provide for now.

Anyone attend the World of Facination by AB where u can test drive all the BMW series ?
