Dear Sifus and Taikos, I need your kind advice on the offset for E36, 328i year 1998.I saw a set of AC Type I rims for sale, however I was informed by the seller that this set of rims' offset are : 18" x 8.5JJ offset ET15 18" x 8.5JJ offset ET15 and5 lubang PCD 120The seller informed that, this offset is more suitable for 5 series but its still useable by 3 series without any modification but the rims according to him will pretrude slightly by 1 cm. He adviced to only use 225/40/18 tyres. What is the offset for e36, 328i?So, with the above, it is adviseable to proceed to install the rims? Will it pose any danger during high speed? Will it look weird with the pretruding of 1cm. IS it true, there is no need for modification of the rims to suit e36?Will definately need all your kind advice on the above. Many thanks in advance.

There is another thread open on almost the same concern recently..Read there. Done?..can be done...Fender rolling, pulling is definitely coming ur way. Tyres may have to go smaller. Camber might need to adjust aggressively -negative. Might still have issue on extra load. Nevertheless, you'll have your Stance Look. If its a daily family drive car, not advisable.

Tyre sizes the seller provided are wrong. With those kind of offsets you will be looking at 215/40R18 maximum.
Rims will fit fine in front with more than -2.5 degrees camber, tight fit for the rear though. the rears will likely need to be rolled and pulled.
My brother has 18x9 ET24 rears on his E36 coupe and it is already a very tight fit.

better have the fifth wheel as spare with you as malaysian road is full of potholes ....

By the time you've invested cash, time & efford into this endevour, you wont want to drive it outside. haha

Dear V-man, maxxsp, yat325, ICEMAN 13, stig & Chrix,

Really appreciate all your advices and inputs. Sorry for my reply.

I have decided to forget about the unsuitable set of rims for my E36 and to continue to source for a set of AC Type II that is suitable for my ride.

Many thanks once again bros.

I am taking my time to source a reliable place to refurnish this set before putting on my ride. Was receommended to try out Wheel Recond in Sri Damansara. Haven`t got the time to visit them, will do so soon.

Thanks for all the infos bro.
