I got the asc and abs light on when i started the car, diagnosed the error and it came out with rear left wheel speed sensor, when the light is on, my speedo, odometer, fuel consumption gauge won't work :( bought a new sensor and replaced it, cleared the error and all was ok for 1 day,

started the car the next day morning within a few seconds the light appeared again, diagnosed again same error left rear wheel sensor, when i clear the error and drive all ok, but i notice if i leave the car overnight and start the error comes back within seconds after starting the car.

Could this be because the error was not cleared properly ? any help would be appreciated.

It may be your ASC module...
But if its the asc module why is it after i reset the error and drive hard and brake hard the error doesn't come back [emoji15][emoji37]

Go to BA? Do you mean Bavaria Auto ? If you really point to BA then they might not do any checking for you due to BA is a BMW spare part specialist only.

Hi tweiboon yup i know hehehe , I'm gonna switch the sensors then see if the error points back to the other side that way i can see if the new sensor is faulty

yes suren...you have to give proof to BA else they boh layan..i refit my old sensor....which was partially working (due insulator was brittle and flaking off) and the light went off. i brought both new and old harness and story Wong and he okayed it.

however i wud advise against removing the other side sensor to confirm as normally removing old sensors will damage them.....

Hi, Bro suren2485,
I was taught by mechanic that must pull out battery negative connection before any electronic device replacement for BMW car.

I guess i didn't do that, maybe thats why, i guess i have to fix the old sensor and recreate the error then like you said unplug negative and fix the new sensor and see what happens

Unfortunately no [emoji53] it comes and goes, dunno what is the issue, i cleared the error but it comes back, you leave the car for 10 to 15 min then start again it will go off,

Dunno what is the issue

i replaced mine as well before but the problem still there. i suspected my abs module, got that replaced and now OK already.
