actually if you reverse your car near the wall, you can actually smell it. Need to get use to the smell, I mean come on.... we have been inhaling petrol fumes since born so this is a new aroma. Just different

Eh, DJH, I was taught from young never to stand at the back of the car while it is reversing. And you stand (or bend down at the exhaust) between the wall and a reversing car? I wouldn't set this example for my kids, my friend! Yup, agreed, if I think about a piece of nice beef steak, close my eyes, stand at the exhaust, I may start to feel hungry! OK need some practice getting used to the smell. :)

Not to that extend la. No need to bend down also can smell it. Just funny smell.

Sorry lah, just to point out and share - I recently had a family member who was pinned against the wall, suffered a fractured hip bone requiring a hip joint replacement only because another family member started his father's manual car, unbeknowned to him that the previous driver had left the handbrakes off, and the car on 1st gear. Aiyah, needless to say, lots of trouble after that, and lives changed as a result! Cannot even imagine the ramifications if it was a child, which would have happened at head level instead of hip!

I had come across in my reading saying, petrol is for performance thats why you don't find diesel sport car and diesel is for cruising like let me think..lorry and buses.you need the torque to pull

gosh, i hope he/she is recuprating well now.
I am normally extra careful in the evening when children is out to play in the housing are. Oblivious to the surrounding, we cannot blame them as they are what they are and we were like them before except that then not so many bimmers to worry about, hehe

back in 1995 (i think) when Sunway began to be famous for car workshop, I was there and i heard one super loud car on the horizon and when it zoomed passed me, I was dumbfolded. It was a red ferrari and it smell real bad. Guess what, it is a diesel ferrari. I mean how often u seen diesel super car or diesel ferrari on M'sian road. From that day, suffice to say, the stereotyping mind i had on diesel not going fast and etc was long embedded 6 feet underground. Now i have the chance to own one all thanks to Euro2 diesel and BMW taking the effort to make it suitable. Hope i can say more good things about BMW but sales, aftersales, servicing and etc are testing my patience.

I didn't know there was a diesel Ferrari before... Was it an aftermarket conversion, much like the NGV ones?

I did not asked or kapoh then as what i saw at the back of the car was "diesel" written on it. I have never heard of diesel ferrari before and it was a left hand drive version. Any ferrari sifus here to enlighten us?

All good and fine, DJH, now probably stronger than before now that the hip's steel instead of bone. Problems with immigration checks though, quite funny actually. Yes, talking about children running, that's why I try to reverse into the house - so that when I drive forward exiting the house, I would be less likely to hit a running or cycling child zooming across the pedestrian pavement. Some things to be careful lah, otherwise will live to regret a lifetime.

Haha, wrongly pumped diesel instead of petrol - that's why at workshop? Also very funny, my father once pumped diesel into his very old Merc (thank goodness realised before starting the car) and had to flush his car!

True DJH,i believe diesel performance has improved tremendously.Glad to know that there are diesel supercars after all.Btw just to share here probably everybody knows it except me.i used to shft to P due to habit before press start/stop to kill the engine.i just dicovered 3 days ago that by pressing the stop/start button while u are still on the brake to kill the engine will move the gear to P automatically.I am sure there are still things that i have not discovered yet..

Hey, me too. It is easier to see who is outside our house when we exit especially when the children are on bicycle. Has been on this habit for years now so my normal parking now is lousy compared to reversing. My wife also infected with my habit. I think it is a good habit.

Yes, correct. I realised that by mistake too. Well F10 is full of electronics so everything is automatic they detect any anormalies.

Did u guys realise that wen u sit in the F10, the seat seemed to senget to one side. Either my backside needs alignment or we all have senget asses, I dunno but it is annoying. Maybe my leg one is much longer than the other one.
