A new future M3 member

Ive just bought a 2001 BMW M3 with manual box...i just want to say thanks to people in helping me bout the M3 in my previous post...i will be back in Malaysia next year so hope to meet with you guys.Ive known several BMW owners...Mily a.k.a titanium ballz is the closest friend of mine and he is like my brother, Conti and some other people. I dont know whether you guys know them or not but its worth mentioning...heheThe car have clocked 60k miles and in superb condition, all the tools, mobility kit and past service maintenance book is included.Just had an MOT with the spring replaced...im intending to replace the interior with alcantara pieces.So im very happy with the condition of the car. It drives great...and the sound is magnificient...!!!I choose a manual rather than SMG coz i dont intend to drive the car everyday...ive got my starlet for everyday drive plus my mom Myvi...heheWill post my car pics later coz my camera is with my GF.If you guys are looking for an AP or parts you can mail me at starlet4e_turbo@yahoo.com....lots of M3 and non M3 parts on ebay...shipping cost will be not much a deal coz ive known people who can do shipping cheap2 and deliver direct to your house.Nway great to know you guys...tq again for the hospitality provided.:burnout::burnout:

The colour is tinanium silver...plus i got a nice registration number M111 DFK...haha...just my luck

The price of M3 here for 2001 to 2002 is below 10k pound but sometimes u can get a 2003 or 2004 version...depends on ur luck...last year i saw a 2004 M3 sold for 8995 on autotrader.co.uk...the tax will be roughly around the car value...i dont know the exact amount but my friend that has been successfully brought his car home said that it depends on the year and capacity of the engine.

I bought my car not so cheap coz im very particular about the bodywork/chassis...from what i heard M3 subframe tends to fail and getting a good one isnt easy coz will have to inspect closely...i have inspected mine and its all clear until i get a subframe reinforcement kit from turner motorsport.

Ive got 2 students here that wont use their AP...i can give you their contact number and you deal with them urself if you like.

It is cheap to buy a Mini Cooper S instead of M3 coz the engine capacity is half of the M3 plus i think the resell value will not drop much IMO.

Can anyone tell me how much for a brand new M3 2001 version when it was first introduced and the market price now?

im staying in Stafford...a little english town...in the middle of manchester and birmingham...the tax maybe 50k...im assuming coz i dont know the exact tax amount...anyone know how much bbs lm cost in Malaysia? the price here is 1k++ pound...wanna see whether malaysia cheap or here...hehe

ive buy it for 12990...discount 90 pound...expensive due to low mileage and the owner only used it on summertime and never in winter...he is a manager in one of electrical company i think coz i found his name card on the service booklet cover...he is letting go of this car due to new M3 V8...want to change to that...also full service history.

About the tax i dont know the exact price but some people say it will cost me around 50k above and some said it will be lower than that...dont know the exact cost until i experience it myself.

Im just wondering how much is the car market price over there in Malaysia?

If you are refering to e46 m3..

Sub 2002, shd be below RM200K if one is lucky...

Post 2002/03/04/05 going for RM230K onwards...depending on specs.

good time to bring in car, since MYR stronger your tax will be cheaper. say 80k before appeal and with 20+10% tax discount your tax around 50k?

Hi guys, new member here. I'm a Malaysian living in the US. I was just curious to see if there is a BMW "M" community in Malaysia and came across this forum. Saw this thread and thought I'd chime in. I have a similar looking M3. Mine is a Tiag 2003 E46 M3 with Black interior. You have a nice looking car and I wish you all the best in getting the car back to Malaysia.
