just my opinion ...
e30 are quite tail happy cars ..back then to slide when u push hard into corners too quickly.
best to drive carefully when roads are wet.
to me , my e30 handles great even if driven hard.

on one note, why would you want to 4wheel ur bimmer ?
should have just settled for a 4x4 .. that's my 2cents.

Not again...

Hey man...
Here is the thing...
BMW design is a Long Shaft From the front engine to the rear Axel...
you could do a 4x4...
But my question is Why?
are you going to some race? Drifting perhaps? or Track Racing? Drag maybe?
To me... I sometime push my car to the max....
to tell you the truth, I love my E30 Rear will drive.
Plus to add things.... I'm now finding a LSD 2.0 for my E30... (for Drifting)
So why convert unless you have a purpose...
Plus i rather you to learn about Over-steer and under-steer...
Not only that... Learn about what is Front & Rear Stabilizer-Bar...
Also add the Anti-Roll Bar Function....
That should answer your Questions....

Plus you might want to get those than convert.....

The only E30 4WD that i saw in this country was way back in 1989 in rally of malaysia. Car belong to Tommy Suharto son of the late Indonesia president.
The tow wheel cars was faster and Tommy was a good driver.

actually i love rear wheel drive. i was driving datsun 120Y b310 before with 1.8 lancer turbo suspension. handle great. i was have a mind set that front wheel drive cars are sucks. but recently i discover both are handle differently. both proven best at their game. so, just thinking of combine both together. he he he he he
