318 & 320

hi all member.. i m thinking to get a 4door bmw with msport spec... but i saw at cheras auto city have two car at there... 1 is 318 n 1more 1 320... what is the different ar???? the accesseories all r same.. how bout the engine i heard the salesman said 320 have double vanos.... thn 318 didnt have... haha.. itzit double vanos same like vtec...

Hello Terrance Tan,

Make u simple to understand on the engine :
318i : 2.0 Litre
320i : 2.2 Litre with or w/o Vanos

Accessories is vary even same year manufactured. This related to CKD, CBU, Recond and direct from AB ( Auto Bavaria )

What year for the 318? There's a difference between pre-facelift and facelift. Pre-FL is a 1.9l engine with around 118hp while FL is 2.0l with 142hp. 320 should be the 2.2l with 170hp.

Also, both pre-FL and FL 318 are 4 cylinders. The 2.2l is a 6 cylinder.

Here's my 2 cents: forget both, go for a 325 or 330!
