when you say owner, do you mean bought ourselve or have one?
CONTROVERSY!
A simple yet, a question so deep that it rivets the very foundation of what some members seem to be looking for. Let me have a stab at this.
I think, first and foremost, when people read the postings, many of you were probably expecting different things. Afterall, its not a multiple choice question, hence rather open ended. As far as statistics go, 3 Series drivers are the youngest lot. Thats all well and good and no surprises there. I guess what got into some of us is HOW YOUNG some drivers are. Ah... but thats not the
real point that is being raised. The word that is getting the attention is "DRIVER". So drivers have one. If I were to stretch it a bit more, the drivers would typically OWN the UDM. The next question, which prompted the addendum to the original question is how the asset (or in some cases, liability) was obtained.
If I were to change the verbage of the original question, it has come to:
"Did you buy that nice car with your own hard earned money from either employment or business(es)? Or were you one of those lucky enough to be given one?" :dunno:
Frankly, given the statistics of HP Loans, one would expect that most of us would have to borrow some money from the financial system to drive one of these beemers. Some responses however seems to buck this expected trend. Maybe we do not have the right owner sample. I'm not sure.
BTW, the original intention of this thread is not to find this out (though at the back of the mind, it would have been a bonus. Why? Coz at the end of the day, I would really like to know how one amasses such wealth at each age to afford one of these wonderful cars - AND would like to do it myself!). But like viruses, the original strain (thread) has morphed into something else. Sometimes more deadly and sometimes it just dies naturally.
Carry on folks...
