Dear All,

My present tyre are 225-45-17 (front) and 245-45-17 (rear). I wish to have a bit more of comfort of driving and plan to use either
a) 225-50-17 (front) OR
b) 225-55-17 (front)

Which one do you guys preferred and will I run into problems like tyres rubbing into fenders and so on?

Appreciate your views and comments.

hi there

I use both front and rear 225/55/17 before and it rub the fender but now I replace both with 225/45/17 which is within the bmw spec

Yeap, I'm using 225/45/17 as well and it fits in perfectly...no rubbing all..... :)

Your original tires should be 225/45/17 (front) and 245/40/17 (rear). If you're looking for comfort, what's usually done is increase profile by 5 and decrease width by 10. So it'll be 215/50/17 (front) and 235/45/17 (rear). That's should give you a tad bit more comfort.
