18" Rim Tire size?

guys,just got myself a 18" sport rims..juz like to confirm the front tire shud be 235/40 and rear 265/35 rite? any other wheel width is suitable?

I don't think the rim would be able to properly take that tyre size.

Yes, the best tire size is 245/40/18 for 8J width rim.

245/45 fits nicely on my 17x8 front M //, though I lose quite a bit in terms of torque BUT gain tremendously lots of handling. I'm pretty sure 245/40 is OK on 18x8's.

yup you're right, if all round 8j then too large. I'm on 265 for my 9j rear.

You are right. Since your rims are not staggered, you should use the same specs for all four tires. I am currently using 235/40/18 on my 530i.
