hi new here. Want to gain some knowledge about a car brand that i respect, BMW.My dad dont have BMW. Not rich people. But i like BMW. My dad is afraid of getting a BMW is because of the car maintainance etc.Is it really expensive? I wanna convince my dad on buying a BMW because he wants to change the current car, 2010 mazda 3.I think the e66 730 is nice and the secondhand one is reasonably price. Any opinion?Tks.

Welcome bro :4: You've come to the right place to seek answers on anything related to BMW's ...

Yes BMW is expensive to maintain but usually once you've replaced the parts you have nothing to worry about for a good several years ...

Welcome to the forum, bro Waldan! It's always good to start young - hope you are successful in getting your father to buy the 730 e66 - that is a fantastic car! Welcome again!

Welcome bro!! The forum is a great source of info and inspiration, in-depth knowledge from shared experience. I learnt a lot here. Don't be afraid to ask. welcome again

Thanks alot... I hope it will be a mission possible not mission impossible. Haha.

Welcome to the forums bro!

Wow, 16 and already having the hots for the E66. Tell you what bro, I was also lucky enough to have been able to drive a 7, albeit an older one after getting my license, so, why not encourage your dad to opt for any models of the 7, preferable the E38 onwards, for it's sheer timeless shape and design? And as for maintenance and 'racun', there's always our fellow sifus here who're willing to help out.

tks bro. haha racun on 20' wheels.... e38, that car is nice. i had a crush on it in the film transporter. haha. my dad's friend used to drive this car. but he sold it because of the maintenance. he bought it cheap, but the parts made the car expensive to maintain.

Wah i thought im the youngest in this forum.. the truth is guys im still in tadika LOL!!! good choice of car bro but the thing is with bmw if u take good care of her she will take care of you . if you can afford the e66 well there is nothing to worry about maintenance

either way you look at it... you will be spending a lot more on maintenance compared to new mazda3 or nabira (have 1 for a couple years now, quite a good minivan, super good FC :)

Just yday, had a look at E66 730... fuyoh, i felt like a CEO ... hehe
but you will enjoy endless driving for the price you gonna pay ... JOY is the word now from the Germans ...

haha.. both cars are good... but, the 1.6 mazda 3 lacks on performance.. very geram seeing high performance cars in the fast lane on the highway.. all i can do is say 'wah its a BMW or MERC or audi and others'. haha. and when father pushing the throttle, the engine bunyi je lebih. haha. thats why i wanna racun my dad on buying these cars. secondhand or recond cars also good right? my father also love cars, but he takut abit on buying secondhand and recond cars.

Welcome,I was 16 when I first bought a bmw magazine and hooked on ever since. Passion comes first, and definately one day you will own a BMW..cheers..

What is the Legal Driving Age in Malaysia, sorry? 17 right? Maybe a year later, bro waldan can practice on his father's car? Then, he will be 100% ready for his own UDM when the time comes :top:
