As per my earlier post, I'm switching to a diesel car for my daily drive. So, with heavy heart, I have to let go of one of my two UDMs. This E36 has been with me for less than 2 years. The car has gone through 2 petrolhead owners including myself. Its condition now is better than than when I first took ownership. Plenty of new items such as O2 sensor, crankshaft sensor, fuel float, fuel pump, DIN100 battery, all 6 ignition coils, air regulator, fuel regulator (I'll add to this list as I recall them). This car is maintained by reputable workshops. You can verify things with them.

Highlights:
Creamy smooth 2.5-litre 6-cylinder M50 engine stroked to 2.8-litre (transplanted from an E34 525i about 3 years ago)
Uses only fully synthetic engine oil
Single-speed electric ventilation fan (there's also a 2-speed electric fan not installed yet).
K&N drop-in air filter (permanent filter)
5-speed auto transmission
KW v1 adjustable coilover suspensions (excellent condition)
H&R ARB kit front and back
Bushes all in good shape. Totally no noise !!
Big brakes : Brembo from E38 7 series. If it's good enough to stop a 7-series ... enough said !!
Original BBS CH 17-in wheels repainted to silver (1 of them slightly kerbed, my bad)
Michelin Primacy tyres
Front bucket seats from E46 with electric adjustment (memory doesn't work though)
Original E36 M3 steering wheel
Original cluster from E36 M3 with oil temp display
Electronic air-con control
18-key On Board Computer
Xenon high-beam, low beam is 4300K conventional bulb
Xenon foglight 4300K.
Super bright LED angel eyes (white color).
M3 front bumper.
ACS side mirror (replica)
Accident-free
Full service record from owner no 2 onwards.

It's a powerful car with excellent stopping power. Handles brilliantly due to the upgraded suspensions and of course BMW's trademark 50:50 weight distribution.

Asking for RM28k. Msg me at 012-3798652 or PM me. Thanks.

Thank you both. A D car will beat my M3 wannabe flat in terms of torque but top end power-wise, this little car here should have the upper hand with more than 200 ponies under the hood.

Changed photo in the original post to give clearer look of the interior.

Neglected to mention earlier. This is a 1997 car. Still feels very tight although it's 18 years old

Beautiful car there Alias. Very understated "Q" car. A lot of expensive parts there. Why don't just keep the car? I can see a lot of effort put into modding it.

I have already tasted an E36 so now looking for something different. Otherwise I probably snap yours up. Peace.

Thanks Bro Monster. You're right. Most if not all modifications a car enthusiast would do were already done. Getting very little money back. Friend suggested stripping valuable parts to sell to maximise returns but that would mean tearing up my baby. Rather see him go in one piece.

Would have kept it if I have another shaded car park. Unfortunately I don't. Another car arriving soon. I simply don't park under the hot sun. Always covered car park at home and at work.

All the best bro. I hope she finds a good new home. IMHO best looking E36 on sale right now. Maybe best condition too.

Bringing up my post. PRICE REDUCED to RM28k ONO.

I always thought of the car as a completed project car. Modded exactly to how I'd want it. Every juicy bit that I would want, I have it in the car. And the car being so well maintained, there's really nothing a new owner could do or will need to do ...

Until it crossed my mind the other day, there's something else ... an S50B32 engine. That'll really complete the project and make it an M3 rather than an M3 wannabe !!

By the way, anybody knows where I can find a replacement coin box? the one right behind the gear stick and beside the handbrake? The folding part is broken and I can't stand it. Called a few shops and nobody has it. Tried to search on ebay and for some reason, searching for BMW E36 always end up with ads for women's undergarments. :stupid: :stupid: :stupid:

keep the car bro.
i had an MSport 525 ori.
but then nothing beats E39.

Always sayang to let go of a good car. I have an E39 too. It's a very complete car. Does everything well but in terms of pure driving experience, it doesn't hold a candle to the E36 IMHO. E36 is such a fun car. Throw it into a corner and it just handles. Where E36 fails rather miserably is it's long distance drive capability. Doesn't do well as a cruiser.

Update : refreshed the cooling system. Changed radiator hoses as well as the radiator. Hoses had some mild leak. Bengkak already. Good thing saw that in time.

Changed electric fan back to conventional fan. Don't sense any power loss at all.

is the car still on sale? msg me 0172788696.

cheers

HI Alias, been trying to call you and text you to come and view the car, appreciate your reply - 0193158525

Hi all. Bringing up my post. Last sale didn't materialise.

Bro Anakin was saying most E36 have broken door parts, brittle plastic parts etc. My plastic parts are all perfect except for the folding drawer in the centre console.

Dashboard, doors, speedo clusters all in immaculate condition.

Car sold to a fellow Bimmer enthusiast. I'll miss him dearly (yes, it's a boy).

Moderator, please close thread. Thank you.
