i want to buy an E30 coupe, budget 12-15k, using it for 1jz conversion so if don't have engine also no problem (don't know how to pass puspakom inspection like that but if u can do it, no problem for me), most important thing is, the chassis is in good condition and rust free. pls PM me to deal. location ipoh or KL also ok. thanks

Why want to put a 1jz engine inside ? you dun think the current M20 engine will be good enough ?

waste of time butching a BMW that was born as a Ultimate Driving Machine.
You better off buying a e30 that's in Mudah.com.my that's done a conversion...

I m not being blunt here, but it's make sense here. Give the engine some TLC and it will serve you.

cheers....

Well said, Pussy.

True Herbert, the 1JZ engine plus half cut will worth at least 7k plus mod and labour 4k, then Puspakom and extras i.e. brakes exhaust etc = Total RM15k ?? Waste of Money... If you see in Mudah, all the ppl that did this conversion sells their car, but with a problem which you dun know or bored already, with the BMW, you wont get bored...

with that you can do full 2.7cc engine with power to surprise a e90 320i, maybe a 6.7 sec. car... all this for RM8k and with RM15k, you can have a M50B30 US M3 spec conversion that puts out 255 to 265hp with 350++ NM NA engine...

vixxx, i love your car, it's one of the best maintained cars in malaysia i think, but red isn't really my colour, no offence mate, i prefer something more low profile, like sterling metallic grey, or white, or black. plus the price is not within my budget, well if u can find a way to make the price within 15k i'll take it, no questions ask (errr...sell your engine? i don't know) but it's such a waste for this beautiful piece of art to fall into my hands to rip it apart...

I've actually tried an E30 with a 1jz-gte before, and i've tried a variety of E30 bimmers from the 1.8 to the full fat 2.7, although these standard bimmers are great joy to drive especially the handling is EXCELLENT, they won't beat the 1jz in terms of pure torque and performance (i know, i know the jz is much heavier, but i'm so gila kuasa i just can't ignore the insanity of the thing). the only thing that i didn't test is one with an M3 engine, but it's so rare, and expensive, it's totally out of the question, even if i want to transplant an M3 engine in it, the halfcut i think is priced similarly (or more) to the car itself!

plus, the transplant isn't that expensive as u guys thought, especially now when petrol prices are so high, the halfcut prices have gone down dramatically.

Plonk in a 2.5 M50TU + Stroke it up(If you want more power) + Siput = Tata to 1JZ...cabutzzzz:vroam:

Speaking of 1JZs... Had the opportunity of coming across another E32 on my way to work yesterday morning, how did I know it had a Jap-heart? Well, owner actually placed a ///M and 1JZ badge on the left of the car. Well, guess owner isn't ashamed to admit he is driving an E32 with a 1JZ heart inside.

As I passed him, not once but twice as we exited at the Cyberjaya exit, I could only imagine what was going through his mind when he saw my wannabe.

Laugh cos it's a gas guzzler, chuckle cos mine's an Alpina wannabe, or just sigh cos the conversion must've been quite a pricey one?

But, everyone has their own reasons for going down this route, but of course, I am still a stickler for staying true to your origins.

After all, my M30 engine is still robust and able to withstand daily 'abuse' even after 251K Miles...

Storm bro, hope you'd be able to get your ideal car, remember power without control isn't everything.

owned an E30 with Japs heart before...power? Yes it is...but driving pleasure and soul of ultimate driving machine gone! now end up with M20 engine that serve me better and lower maintenance that japs engine :)....if u wanna try japs engine for fun...just proceed with the project....later it will end up with original M20 ketam engine just like me :)
