[WTA] Whats the different between 2.5l and 3.0 x3?

Hye im new here. Looking seriously into x3 model. This will be my first bimmer and super excited about it. My question will be1) other than hp and torque, any difference between 3.0 and 2.5? (other than roadtax as well hehe)2) whats the maintanence like? Service? Breakpad to change to how many km? 3) Bodypart issit easy to find? (if anythg happened)4) i heard rumors base on true rumors, the 2007 have got some problem? So should i opt for 2006 or 2005 for that matter?5) if i buy the standard one, where cn i find the m-sport bodykit cheap cheap? Hehe6) if i go to see the car and tested it, what is the most important should ill be looking into? The engine? The bonnet?7) the facelift and non facelift, issit have very much different?8) panaromic sunroof?issit come with local spec or recon?9) i also heard rumors base on true rumors, told me that the imported unit will give u problem sooner or later? Let's start with the simplest one. Afaik, local ones do not come with sunroof.

Facelift vs earlier ones is very well explained on the net. Wikipedia is a good source. But it's a matter of judgement call. For me 6 speed vs 5 speed is the deciding factor. I'm not an expert, but more is better? Hehehe

normally 3.0 version has slightly more accesories. to be honest, in msia ppl look for 2.5 version due to road tax issue. that's why 2.5l is slightly more expensive than 3lts coz more demand. power wise no need to tell la...u knoe which one more power.

to me reasonable if u find the right workshop. u can get parts fr bavarian auto. if u can afford to buy the car, then u shud afford to maintain it.

3) Bodypart issit easy to find? (if anythg happened)
many places u can buy body parts. some may take up to 3-4 wks to deliver if fr germany.. If spore, less than a week.

4) i heard rumors base on true rumors, the 2007 have got some problem? So should i opt for 2006 or 2005 for that matter?
dunno. never heard.

dun think M-sport body kit is readily available in msia....but u can show the pic to some fibre bodykit shop andthey can make for u.

u buy motor trader, there is a section on how to buy used car.

which one look nicer to your eyes? mainly cosmetics.

8) panaromic sunroof?issit come with local spec or recon?
panaromic roof i think japs version. local 3ltr might have.

9) i also heard rumors base on true rumors, told me that the imported unit will give u problem sooner or later? Issit true?
any car >4-5 yrs old will have problem...wear & tear is normal.
