i would like to ask..is the e36 318i '97 m43 auto gearbox is same as e46 318i '99 m43?can i get the e36 ones n replace on my e46?mine already kong..thank u..

It look the same but the part number is not the same.. I think 4 speed (E36) and 5 speed (E46).

E46 318 1.9L (M43) is 4 speed.

E46 318 2.0L (N42) is 5 speed - Valvetronic

Just notice that the drive shaft connection for e36 is 4 bolts as compare to E46 which is 3 bolts..

mine is 1999 m43..would it fit guys?but it looks like it doenst..
