Sifu's, i have set of 16" rims, but the offset is ET30, i plan to use 205/50 tyres.would / do i need to use spacers to fit it on my E30 ?Thanks

Strider thanks, perhaps it would be good info for us newbies, what is the min-max offset range for E30's , where it wont rub the absorbers ; eg, ET23 - ET 35/38 ?

Spacer is not recommended unless its absolutely necessary i.e. when rubbing occurs..

Spacers actually put more forces to the entire wheel hub assembly from the bolt to bearing and bushes, thus will shorten the life of such items.

Further to that, lets say a smaller offset rim is fit into a same PCD wheel, like fitting e39 rims into e36 (both PCD120), what other things are there to watch out for beside the wheels touching the fender (in which case can be cut/knocked etc)? Is it possible to fit e39 rims into e36 widebody wheels?

Trying to avoid spacers into my e36 widebody... what options do I have?

Play with wheels of different offset.. when that fail, then only explore the last option: SPACER..

I would also need hubcentric rings to match the rims, right? Around 15mm I think. Any idea where I can find an aluminium hubcentric ring? Appreciate any ideas.

i think most tyre shop can made an arrangement to make the hubcentric for you

Will reveal once I think it will meet the high standards of BMWClubMalaysia members... scared man:eek:... widebodies are not well accepted by general public. Just a hobby-lah, trying to fill in the void left by my 5er!:43: In the meantime... can borrow your 5er wheels for test ka? :15:
Just kidding  ...
