Autobavaria insurance is from Allianz. After reading some good recommendation post in the forum, I decided to visit Mechanix Windscreen Services (Danny) in PJ.After inspection by Danny, I was told that the crack can be repaired for RM280. I proceeded with the repair. The repair took about an hour, the workmanship was good but I can still see some hairline crack, especially under direct sunlight.Well, I guess I can live with that instead of replacing the entire windscreen and suffer "bad luck" of water leak, etc due to improper installation.I paid Danny the RM280 and I then call up Allianz to check on the claims process. That's when my frustration begins. My first mistake was I did not call up the Insurance (Allianz) to check the process for Windscreen repair/replacement.I thought that I can repair it and then claim later. However, Allianz policy is that you need to repair/replace it at their Panel workshop only. When I went to submit my claims form at Allianz branch in PJ, the agent told me the same thing. She said that HQ will reject this claim. She even gave me their insurance booklet and showed me the paragraph.Anyway, I asked her to submit and I'll write an appeal letter later.
