hi..sorry to trouble you guys..just a question..the white light kit upgrade for old bimmers means only the outer look which is white?...my question is whether the headlight and signal light is also white when it is being used / shines?...thanx...sorry new to bimmers!..

jasonctx,

U pm me with the same question......and the answer is I dun know what u r talking about.

maybe my fellow forumers can help - hence my choice to reply it in the forum.

good luck.

white light kid ??

HID ?? XENON ??? BI-XENON ???

The blue bulb for head light ????

WHITE LED for signal ?? for pilot lights ???? White number plate light ??

Which model do u mean by older bimmers ???
E21 ? E30 ? E36 ? E46 ?

Sorry, when you mention white light for old bimmer, do you means only the bulb or the HID.

There are 3 type of upgrade for headlight.
1. change the bulb where the colour is white but not very bright
2. Upgrade the bulb to HID c/e ballast (very bright)
3. change the whole headlamp assembly (hella)

In order to answer your question, can you tell me what model are you driving. For e36, I can tell a bit about upgrading. Unfortunately, you cant install angel eye for e30 and e34 except put HID kit.

Side glass for the signal light can be change to white or clear plastic instead of the yellow filter.

I think he meant 'white' as in 'clear'. Somehting like the 'smoked' effect stuff etc...... or am I just as confused as evryone else here ?

hmm...ok...
i just wanna noe when you upgrade to the white light kit is only the outer look which is white?..
i wanna know whether lets just say u use your headlamp or signal light when turning...will it also be white...or do you have to change the bulb or something like that?...hope you guys understand...sorry for the confusions.

Headlamp can be white but signal lamp MUSt be yellow or orange.
It against the law if your signal lamp is flashing white in colour when you are
turning.

So how would I know if my E46 2000 come with HID or not?

fast&furious
If it come with HID, then you will a ballast install outside.

Trace the cable from the headlamp and see where it ends. If it goes to metallic box, that is your ballast.

Note; some HID kit have separate ignitor.
