Looks like you already set your mind on the harrier 3.0. :top:

cayenne will give you the utility of an suv with the fun (almost) of a sports car, xc90 is quite possibly one of the safest cars in the world but i heard there are issues with the turbo, a landcruiser will survive an apocalypse and outlive the human race, touareg may give headaches once warranty period is over but there are some good deals from volkwagen now, i think 50k off or something, and harrier is cheap and classy but extremely common...

if i had the money, id go for the cayenne, if not the landcruiser...hope this helps bro

Great in "maintenance, reliable, resale value, safety, function"!!

Agree with Astro.
"maintenance, reliable, resale value, safety, function" = Toyota Harrier or Lexus RX

I will likely prefer a crossover, Mazda CX7

Why not X6?

yeah.. got cayenne in the list, but no X5 or X6. weird. furthermore, this the first time i see harrier being considered alongside a cayenne

oh yeah.. you all so fast reply wo. Ok for the touarage, its currently got offer from car trade RM308k for 07 brand new stock for pre-owned. But warranty will end this year. And got some recond brand new at car dealer was selling for 250k for 05 model. The XC90 i felt it is the better deal since its powerful. For the Harrier, nothing much..Just like the resale value and low maintanance. But true, its extremely common. Come to the Cayyene, saw few unit of 3.2V6 was selling below 300k for used car. Do u think it still worth? Dont talk about the Turbo version la, that one is out of budget liao. haha :rock::rock:

Ah. What happened to acclerator pedals sticking? No Toyota/Lexus for me at the moment. Only Honda/BMW

take XC90 out from your list unless you are looking for something that you gonna use for the rest of your life...

Am commenting neither from the stories i heard nor the feedback i read... it is from my own experience as a XC90 owner...

p/s : a little intro of my first disastrous experience with XC90... Market value is RM 150 but my outstanding with the bank still RM 240K...

omg...that's really bad...

Going off-road or not? If you anticipate going off-road a lot, then go for a Land Rover (Discovery 2 o 3 , or the new Freelander 2) with a diesel engine. The new Freelander 2 is nice to drive (more powerful than the previous gen Freelander), and comes with a sunroof. If not off-road, I hear that the used Cayenne's are getting quite affordable these days (seems to be quite a few running around KL lately). The XC60 is pretty nice to drive, but I only did a normal test drive in one, so can't say more about it. Rode in a friend's RX300/Harrier, and frankly, was not impressed; it's also very common these days.

But the one "SUV" that impressed me the most for on-road driving and feel was of course, none other than the X6. Loved it on the highway, small winding and hilly country roads, in the rain, fog and snow. But can only carry 4 persons.
