Hi Max,I've been using Optimum for the past 1 year with minimal issues. With regards to the re-spray problem...the guy you've spoken to is full of BS. My wife scratched the front bumper early in the ownership of the car, had it re-sprayed partially and then re-coated. No sign of any strange marking or whatnots.I believe each coating has a difference but do not expect them to last a lifetime without maintenance. My expectation of the Optimum is 2 years realistically with regular proper self washing. My previous experience with PPS was about 3-6 months only.
