I should clarify, both Gold Class and NXT are single step wax products and both have cleaning properties. Its known that Gold Class has stronger cleaning properties compared to NXT which is not condusive for layering. If you want to do serious layering, then you'll need a multistep product, and layer only the wax product (e.g. #26 Meguiars high tech yellow wax). I find multi step products good but takes a lot more effort, hence I like to do claying for surface prep and apply layers of single step products which has minimal cleaning properties. For the EGP sealant over NXT, its unorthodox for sure :) and product manufacturers do not condone using other products with theirs of course. I've tried it and I like the results. A few of us enthusiasts have done this and have been happy with the results of using EGP as the final sealant over the wax. I'm purely a DIY fellow and not a detailer by profession. So, my feedback is based on my experience only la. Also I do it by hand, instead of using an orbital as you need skill and experience with orbitals or you risk the chance of burning your clearcoat if you don't know how to use it. Besides its great excercise... ala karate kid "wax on wax off"
