which gear box oil suit E36 318i best?

hi,recently juz bought an E36 318i yr 92.when i send her to workshop for minor service,my mech tell me tat the g/b oil is very dirty (not black but red),shud i change the g/b oil?which brand is best for?how much issit?thanks in advance.

ATF if not always, mostly RED!

Any good brands is good. Use as per recommended by ur ride. Should be type Dextron III.

How much needed? Depends u r flushing or not. Can be up to 15 litres.

Changing ATF and the filters should be enough....flushing is an expensive option that should be exercised once in a while. No need always flush lar. ATF for normal change should be around 5 litres.
