...used to frequent Party Box too and right behind was a karaoke pub called "Unchained Melody". I look familiar?...............................................I've been around. Yes, i remember Setia by Fran....btw, she's back here. Last saw her perform during the White Ribbon Campaign in 1U....remember? Francesca Peters (no relation to Alex or Charlie Peters - Revolvors) or Fran as she is known was originally from a group called "The Windjammers"...they had a stint in the "Glass Bubble", Jaya Puri Hotel which is now PJ Hilton in the Eighties. That era when we really had good local talent.... There were bands like The Strollers, The Revolvors, Falcons, Carefree, Discovery, Alleycats, Yellow Jackets, etc After Winjammers broke up, she teamed up with Roy and was called simply "Fran & Roy". Their last stint that I can recall was at Genting Highlands yonks ago. Heard that Roy emigrated to Perth. Sith: ZZ Top is also one of my fav....any band that is Blues based with heavy driving guitar riffs would be in my fav list. Funny side of ZZ Top is ...of the 3 members, Gibbonns and Hill have long beards while Frank Beard is not bearded. Fav song: La Grange and Sharp Dressed Man
