At least twice a year if you drive fairly regularly. The problem you are referring to is gearbox cooler problem. I got it not once, but twice for my E90 320i! All I can say is when that happens...very very nasty. You will end up having to overhaul your gearbox.But problems aside, I came from an E46 325i (and E60 530i then also) and thought I just wanted a simple 320i (save fuel ma) for my daily drive. But after a few years, I just cannot tahan the lack of power, so changed to a 325i. No regrets now!</blockquote>
