Hello guys,

Need some help in finding these rims below.....

http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0Je5qcWsgdFRSABYRejzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTA4NDgyNWN0BHNlYwNwcm9m/SIG=1254qbpo2/EXP=1158218646/**http%3a//www.bmwmregistry.com/faq/E36_M3_Wheels.jpg

Kinda fancy the one in the middle (Forged M Double Spoke).
Anybody selling a set or know where a set are selling??
I currently have BBS RX 17s on my car, want to run away from the look the previous onwer has created... :p

I still prefer BBS compare to M Double Spoke :D

yeah, the BBS are kinda OK actually...
but its just this thing i have each time i get a new car... i dont want it to look the same as what the previous owner has done with it... i want the look to be kinda my thing... usually its the rims that i change, coz i think its the most impactful in terms of looks....
Can't help it ler... its just this thing that i have... :)=

You look for that rims ar ! Hai yo, I sold my to one of our forumer here 3 yrs ago.

Not so easy to find nowsday.

albundy : if not mistaken i saw the m contours in auto technica...i dunno still got or not..it was quite some time back...only those looking to emulate the e36m3 will actually buy it..but now dunno still got.

The forged M Double Spoke should be quite strong, just make sure it's the forged version, not the standard version.

M Contours? I have them... but they're being used on my car.

I have made quite a bit of research on the authencity of the M Contours on my car, here's what I figured:

For E36 M3, it came in two widths (only in 17"): 8.5" and 7.5" Both these carry the M logo on the rims

There is also one more size: 7" wide. It is meant for winter tyres. This does not have the M logo but it is still original as it is listed in the BMW parts catalogue website. Sadly, this is the one that came with my car, so I'm stuck with 215/45R17 all round for now, the most will be 225/45R17. The advantage though is lighter unsprung weight, and a little bit less prone to aquaplaning due to the narrower tyres.

I think (correct me if I'm wrong) the last 3 digits of the part numbers are embossed around the air valve hole:

7" is 295
7.5" is 395
8.5" is 795

Both the 7.5" and 8.5" are listed as M Contour II.

Btw, there was one set of staggered (8.5" rears, 7.5" fronts) M Contours on sale at Chu Seng Auto Repair here in Penang a couple of months back.

LCP, can you check if its still available? I may be coming to pg next week. :)

I was told that rims was in put in tyre shop for sometime to sell, bcos due to condition and not able to sell. Now end up at Chu Seng place.

Again Pls check carefully, i am not sure we are speaking abt the same rims.

Another place you may go to is "Nuton" their contact is 04-2295448. They sell a lot of bimmers and mers rims.

Cheers

why dont u try N look at auto technika ss2 i saw some during my last visit bro....l

17 x 7 should be similar to the ones that I have. Originally meant for winter tyres in Europe.

Will drop by Chu Seng tomorrow to check whether the rims are still available, and if yes, just a quick look at the condition. He only displays one piece in front of the shop, maybe space constraint, you know lah... typical chinaman workshop...
