Fabian and Tianci, were you guys in italiauto club before or in merc forum. Seriously the nick sound familiar. On this issue of oil sludge build up I think its all depends on the car owner itself. Its their choice to follow the manufacture interval or otherwise. Usually car nuts (including myself) would "pandai-pandai" and not follow the interval due to own past experience. I disagree of the placebo effect as the car that I once followed the manufacture interval was building up sludges. The pity guy is the new owner of the then secondhand unit . In europe the car price do not cost an arm and a leg. It be a pity for the 2nd owner here in malaysia (who still pay a lot for the car) to fork up a few more thousand for oil flushing, tap pad adjustment etc and all upon the car purchase (if he is lucky. worst of top overhaul). Over there (like for fiat) the used 2nd hand unit used by the management is sent to "3rd" world i.e north africa etc. Oh and I to are well aware of Selenia (does using alfa/fiat before counts :) ) and Petronas Lubricant. Me and my family was in torino for the last 3 years for them. Ildar 5, Strada Cavoretto 2, Torino , ITALY i
