From my past experience, I don't think they would know if you don't inform. You still have your passport with you and you are free to travel in and out of the country as you wish. It's also possible that you may be posted overseas by a local company. Or you could decide to further study or take a long vacation overseas. Then how about if you cannot find a job here in Malaysia or if you loose your job and cannot get another job in Malaysia? There's so many reasons you can give them. In any case, worse come to worse, if you are caught, then just pay back the money. What's the big deal? Furthermore if you don't use the money, it would probably be wasted on something else.
