What is this part called?

My E36 a little hard to start at times. The mech said the part that we insert our key and turn is wearing out and need replacing. What is this part called and will it need its own key? Better still if someone has the part number

If I'm not wrong it is call key cylinder but may be diff name by bmw....my 2.5cents...
