Hi allIn reading up to distinguish the parts and trim for a real Msport, the 2 parts I'm struggling to see is this Driver side front fender VENT..? and the rear quarter window ie C pillar trim which is should be shiny and not matte black or chrome.I'm checking some used unit at the car lot, and I could not see this VENT (is this that side vent which i called it stingray gill..) And the c pillar trim, I saw one used 2004 Msport that have everything mentioned as msport trim except the above 2. Just want to ensure I got it right..

Side grills is for M3 only bro. The non-M3 which have these are wannabe M3s...

Hmmm. Maybe I describe it wrongly. Even the e92 buying guide also mentioned this vent. Maybe I refer to wrong thing .... Silly me. Hoping other msport owner can chime in on my confusion.

The only vent that i am aware of is the front bumper brake ducts/vents which is on the M-tech2 bumper. Shadowline trim aka glossy black window trim is only found on the M-Sport version if it's matte black or chrome then it is not an M-Sport. The side mirror base is also glossy for M-Sport car. Plus you can see the interior whether it comes with black cube trim or brush aluminium. Check out also the front seat also as the M-Sport version comes with M-Tech seats which is semi-bucket seat.

But the best way to determine whether the car is M-Sport or not, take down the car's VIN number and ask BMW dealership to pull the car original specs from factory from it's database. They may charge you though.

Hello, if you find it hard to describe put a picture, then there will be no misunderstanding. Anyhow, we have a thread to distinguish real msport than the fake, one of them is the shadowline door trim

OK! Finally I understood that vent thingy. Yes, per described by B33mer. I saw that...big nostril hole to the front disc area... :)

Yes as per all the pic posted in that What is M sport thread...I managed to see some Msport clone and real Msport.

Thanks all.

Found a nice 2005 325Msport but sold at the used car lot. Mileage is 100k with full service record asking just below 100k.. If I'm the buyer I would scrooge the price lower as all the 4 rubber is well worn.... and the rim is pretty scratch up (aggresive driving or just bad parking skill?).

Dealer offer me instead a E90 2005 325i for 145k.. not keen although very mint condition...45-50k.. as both are equally aged and will required couple of K to get replace all due parts..
