Yes, this would be a permanent fix for those with integrated radiator+oil cooler.. Actually a lot of autobox cars are running integrated radiator+ATF heat exchanger setup... some have been trouble free, some have higher failure rate than others.. Unfortnuately, have heard a few cases for the BMW's...
