Hi everbody, can I know what kind of car battery is best suitable to be placed under rear seat? Currently I'm using wet battery (need to refill with water) which is placed under my rear seat, it was formerly placed in the engine compartment. I have to relocate it to rear coz after engine conversion (M20 to M50).If wet battery is not suitable or harmful to humans, then what brand is good dry battery & price please..also contacts no.Need your advice & recommendation..cheaper better lah..heard those dry battery are expensive. T H A N K S ! !

If you want convenience then go for maintenance free battery - just install it and forget about it until it is kaput. It is more expensive compared to lead-acid and low maintenance batteries. The good ones are Delkor, AC Delco, Bosch, Yuasa etc. Expect to pay from about RM300 for a DIN55 size.

Cheaper alternative is the low maintenance battery which requires less top-up of battery water compared to conventional ones.

There are some manufacturers which claim their batteries are maintenance-free but actually is low maintenance. One clue to look for in a maintenance-free battery is that there are no caps for filling battery water.
