[QUOTE="Galaxy7, post: 31206, member: 19219"] Need advise, which one is better???My car is already near 500 000km , so its about the time for cooling system maintenance again(last changed Jan2009).So I've been looking around another forum and everyone is now recommending installing a new design of the water pump with a composite impeller. The metal impeller pumps have had bearing failures (perhaps because of the additional strain on the bearing due to the increased mass of the impeller).Of course the composite impeller is better than the old plastic impeller but if compare with metal impeller, which one is better?I just checked that the metal impeller is aftermarket unit so some said the bearing quality is not as good as oem composite impeller.BA(segambut) just told me that currently they only supply oem composite impeller water pump for RM120.Munich Auto got the aftermarket metal impeller water pump for RM200.Anyone had experiences with these two types of water pump??
