Hi all, taking possession on my e92 335 this weekend. I was quoted by Opal Auto Mart for mechanical warranty for engine, turbo, gearbox, fuel pump, sensors, ecu and etc for rm4k Coverage for 3 years...of course with t&c....Service interval of 10k at their authorized service ctr, amongst the centre in klang valley are :Ultra tune, M performance, Elegance auto image, Eurotech, And etc...Anyone here taken this package before? Thanks

3 years for a recon unit is really good. Just hope that they will honour it. Congrats on your new ride.

M also taking into delivery my E92 325 msport this weekend. Opted out for the warranty as there are many T&C which doesnt really cover the whole car. Further more it only covers till your first 25000km or 1 year which ever comes first. So in your case i presume 75000 km or 3 years. I have also spoken to Ah meng( M sport)and he told me most of his friends who bought a recond BMW opted out for the coverage. So spend your 4 k wisely....just my 2cents:rock:

RM4k for 3 years is quite cheap, mine was quoted Rm2k per year ..! But, in this 3 years can you service your car with your prefer workshop or have to follow their list ? End up i didn't take up because 1 of the issue i prefer service my wheel at my own workshop.

I got my e92 335 M-Sport recently as well and also had the same dilemma. I opted out as the dealer wasn't able to explain to me what were the exact terms. For example, can you service at your preferred mechanic. I am very particular with my mechanic and wouldn't service my car elsewhere.. Also heard that quite some people were denied claims when they had issues, including someone who bought a Cayenne Turbo.

If I were you and still wanted some peace of mind from the insurance, at most to get a 1 year warranty.. if stuff doesn't break by then, then I think the car should be fine... only a couple of major things which may be of issue on the 335 - turbo and the fuel pump

Other minor issues I suppose it the luck of the draw..
