Interesting isnt it on how different people interpret differently how the warranty works. Based on my experience in the auto trade, if you read the warranty terms & conditions in detail, most manufacturers will cover defects due to manufacturing and part problem. This does not cover wear & tear items. Effectively to void the warranty would be easy - even changing a non-original screw would be enough. So to your question on fitting the window tints - I suppose if the company who sells you the vehicle and also sells you the tint fitted, then it would be fair that they take the responsibility (warranty) if anything related to the window/door system goes wrong. However if you do it outside then it would be your responsibility, but if things do go wrong & you want to claim from the seller/manufacturer; then it would be quite an issue. Provided of course that it can be proven that the problem occured is not related to the window tint you fitted. It can be tough. On fitting aftermarket speakers is even more complicated as with modern high tech cars it can affect many other parts and can actually cause a lot of damage. In fact I have seen in some cases it became hazardous. I suggest you get the optional factory audio upgrade which is available from the manufacturer and you would be fully covered by warranty. Unless of course you want to take the risk of changing it outside - make sure the person fitting it is very competent technically about your car. Its fine if there are no problems but becomes a real nightmare if something goes wrong. So the buyer has to decide on this.
