A good working HID but yet warning light is on for headlamp whenever my hid is turn off? how to solve this sifus? Thanks

did the warning light appear right after u install the HID or a while after u have installed the HID?

I have the same problem, installed the HID then the warning light came up, now took it off (takut kena saman) but the warning light is still there. My mechanic also don't know why...hmmm

well, basically when i turn on the HID, the warning light will disappear....once i off it, the warning light will come on again.

Hmm if in that case, maybe i just back to original bulb la hehe.....or are there any solution to this?

From what I understand, when you install HID light, the warning light will come on.
To overcome this, the shop will hook up another lightbulb each for both sides to cheat the system. This makes the warning light system works properly again.
So find out where the lightbulb is and see whether that is still working.
Mine is hooked up into my foglights.

yes, you can put a resistor in parallel with the HID circuit to overcome this problem. The HID is fully electronic and hence the impendance would be very high as compare to the resistance of the halogen bulb.

Hmmm, I think i get what you guys meant, but whats a resistor? thanks in advance

bro, if you don't know what a resistor is then you better dont go thru this path.

A resistor is a round cylindrical shape about half inch length and about 2 mm diameter. They sometime come in brick or rectangular shape. There are two type of resistors. power and non power type. Power resistor are usually range from 0.47 ohms to about 1Kohms.. Normal resistors are higher in value. There are flim type resistor which are widely used in the electronic industries.

You may need a 470 ohms and about 5 watt. Sometime angel eye retrofit also need this.

OK, still do not know what a resistor is:) thanks anyway, will ask my mech whats a resistor and how to cheat the system over my installed hid....thanks bro

Actually it's a 4700 capacitor wired parallel 2 d low beam. I've this problem in my e46 b4

4700 capacitor? ok will go ask the wiremen or mechs on this in my next service this month end:) thanx bro

Can you confirm the capacitor as I doubt a capacitor can create a load when it is fully charged.

Would like to see your installation of the capacitor. BTW 4700 microfarad is very big value.

vobs, u can buy it @ any electronics spare part shop. Cost only appx rm4 - rm5 max.

jarance, its correct, think i've got 2 nos spare tucked away somewhere.

A picture of the capacitor would be nice.. Thanks..:top:

jarance, I will show u the actual item if u can make it 2 tt 2nite.

Can't come tonight but most probably next official TT.. Would be interesting to see the actual setup.

My Xenon light is quite conquest around the back of the headlamp. Have to remove lamp before can disconnect all the cable.. I presume your is the same.. BTW, like your titanium cover.. :top:
