If you had a DSG issue and your car is within the 1st two years, it's settled within the day and you get to drive your car back as the parts are aplenty now.If your car is entering the 3rd year and onwards, the claims then go through the insurance meaning the service Center deals with the insurance agent. So each claim is like an insurance claim and the process is long tedious and arduous. First issue is that both the dealer and insurance guys don't deal well with each other. The insurance guys will always come back saying need more documentation or data. This prolongs the whole claim process. Another thing is that they check all the past invoices especially the service invoice. If you bring in your car 100km after the service is due, they will void your claim.The owners themselves are getting pissed because the service centres are fully booked and packed (1 month wait list for certain periods) and this caused them to exceed the service interval. So stuck in a chicken and egg problem they started the protest.</blockquote>
