Anyone had any experience with 3M or MACTAC exterior vinyl car wraps before?Want to know the quality of the wraps. 3M seems to be more expensive but I read in some forums that the quality is not worth the price compared to other brands.Considering matte color car wrap :p

Hi bro, I asked for quotation for wrapping my black F30 with white vinyl.. they give two options.. Matte MACTAC (2.7k) or Glossy 3M (4.7k)..

for 4.7k, might as well go with repaint... hehe... yet to see how the Matte MACTAC white looks like though.. haven't seen any F30 wrapped yet.. anyone? I read a few forums that some people did DIY wrap for really cheap.. but not sure if I have the energy for it..

Have u try the Getto Wrap at Equine Park, Seri Kembangan? Recently, got my laminated sticker type Euro style no. plate (which u got to choose the logo, font type and size of your choice) there for RM100 a pair.

Any problems with JPJ on the euro type license plate? Was thinking of getting one done for myself

So far so good. No issue during roadblocks. Maybe the lady luck is on my side. But having said that, any additional design/logo on the number plate is considered illegal by the JPJ standard. However, not all JPJ officers will be too fussy about it unless they are short of ... (u know what I meant here). You just have to keep your fingers (or maybe togther with toes) crossed when u come across one.

Well.. Went ahead and made the plates for my ride. Sweet looking! Fingers crossed no issues...

actually i have silver euro font but never kena before (been through many road blocks). I used to kena with my previous 2 plates, one font was too narrow the other was too wide or something like that. then again i think it depends on your letters and numbers and how they look with the font.

Couldn't agree more with you! Its the font type and size that matters. Another thing is the background plate. Try not be too fancy with the carbon fiber, either real or sticker type.

Just to share... Think this has been posted before....

Off topic.... the new Wilayah no. plate: W(1-9999)A has began its tender since last Tuesday till next Monday. Wanna try your luck if you have some spare cash. Minimum bid starts at RM310. Will the W1A break the record of the WWW1 of RM500K? And who will be the rich 'lucky' bidder to get that no.?

Since that is a JPJ website and if I were to follow it accordingly.........font color is black!

Ayo.. I got mine with the carbon fiber background.

Hmm, if I put the normal style (euro plate) in front, and the carbon fiber at the back, will that be an issue with JPJ? :p Coz road block they only see the front license plates only ya?

Just to be on the safe side, always get the matt black background instead of the CF ones. The authorities will find every reason to penalise should they are in the mood and we don't get a say at all coz it's definitely illegal. Am using one with matt black background and matt silver fonts from www.customeuropeanplates.com and passed through all sorts of roadblocks without any problem. Am more worried about my tint than the plate. :D

agreed with wingzee, not only passed through road blocks in Msia, I drove to Spore few times, also no problem. If kena, pay fine lar...me looking for the Road Transport Acts for applicable law clauses..:)

won't it be nice if all Rusted Jackets have Europlate design ?? :top:

Ahh.. does that mean I have to re-do the plates into matt background? Sayang ooii..
