i paid 2.8k for full glasurit at yenn fatt subang 3 yrs ago, btw, it was a small hatch, with no body problem

as i said, 3.5K is the benchmark. if more, it's ex and if less, it's cheaper.

it can go from RM2k - 6k depending whether they used the full system or just part of it.. and oso the expertise of the spray painting sifu...

well, as fabian correcty pointed out, it's the brand of the paint they use, but the worksmanship and most important, the base products for the premier, sanding thinner and etc.

Well you get what you pay for as they say, ideally should be baked also. I have been quoted from 1200RM to 1800RM for 2k paint on E30 sized cars. Thats fine if you want to sell straight away.

my pearl black e46 glasurit paint cost me rm2500 in sunway atm..great paint job he done...sapphire black he quote me rm2500 too last time

u can try eps sunway (opposite sunway foodcourt) they are one of the best...you can get quote from them..i dun think they are very expensive

most important, ask for the higher grade of clear coat. That makes the difference.

i think the biggest problem that everyone is affraid when sending the car for a paint job is:
1) when dismantling all the item, will they break something or forget to screw back some nuts?
2) after completing the job, will there be any unusual noise from item that is not screw or fix properly

how to make sure above senario wont happen?

yes i would recommend yen fatt for the job...reasonable prices and quite good quality..had my car resprayed (same colour) for 1.8K and its been 2.5 yrs now and is still very glossy..

at yen fatt it would cost you the better part of 3.5K..i'm afraid it will be necessary for the full monty, even though in the case of just a respray

If properly done i.e. strip the paint, primer, colour and clear the fair price is RM4,500. Anything below that make sure they use full glazurit products and dont combine with cheaper substitutes. The paint might look good in the begining but after few month you will notice the difference. It is also advisable to remove the emblems, moldings and etc. and not just simply mask them but for that you need experienced people who have done it before to make sure that nothing is broken and fixed back properly.

if you use Glasurit, u need to use complete glasurit paint set.

NEVER EVER MIX together with cheap thinner or gloass. the paint will peel off man.

Depends on how deep u strip down your car cost labour too..

And also how good is the spray painter of course....

Use it & you will feel the different.

All mercedes benz new car using Glasurit too..

Btw, Glasurit paint scratch prove is very strong, it last your car many years to be faded compare to the cheap one.
