update on my steering wrap,spray :)

sharing again , after 1 wk of being bimmerless , got my steering rewrap and spray painted .Very satisfied of getting her stock standard again.before

workmanship not to bad , if you are wondering about the cost , rewarp Rm 300 , spray Rm 50. Also had to replace my faulty seat sensor rm 750!!:argh:

Actually u can buy the bypass unit about RM100 to overcome the error, save RM750 for seatmate sensor.

tq bro 7833.agreed rm 100 is by far cheaper , may solve the indicator signal in the short term , but i still wont have a peace of mind.Spend a bit more and i know the problem is solved, and who knows it just be all thats worth it in the long run, family safety is my priority.cheers

It is save to use la, the module actually cheat the car system that someone is siting on the seat in fact nobody on the seat. The airbag will stil blow up when accident, only thing is if u have the module, the airbag will blow up no matter u have passenger on the seat or not. For healthy seatmate sensor, the airbag will only blow up when there is passenger on the seat, so u save the money from the damage airbag.

bro,the seat occupancy sensor is just that.it senses if the seat is occupied or not.if it's not occupied,the pax airbag will not deploy,thereby saving you $$ for not having to replace an airbag....even tho the car may have been a write off....or you may be dead...... hah...the irony!

stupid philosophy if you ask me......shud be hardwired to deploy///

and the bypass circuit plug does just that.telling the srs that the seat is occupied

hi beemer, just an update : you can contact Ah Hwa 0126369555 , who deals with the guys who did my rewrap in Puchong.Last I called him today lunch time for you , that shop has got full house for the week , but he will call me again Monday to let me know of any progress.it took 1 week to get mine done , 3 spoke steering.Not really sure what kind is yours though.Cheers bro.
