I changed around 80% of the parts inside. If 100% is 12k. But the the other 20% is still okay and it will last as its not part of the mechanical thingy that operates the gearbox. The price is i agree is shocking but then i have surveyed a few gearbox specialist workshop and i figured i put my confidence on this particular workshop as they can give 1 year warranty, clean workshop and looks professional (hehe)About manual tranny im not so sure, maybe you can drop by the workshop tmr. Can check your gearbox see what they say lah. Im oso not very good, just learned bout gearbox a lilttle bit since my gearbox failure. adehhBased on my survey, i think is u got the budget go for rebuild as u go tat least 6 months  warranty and pinpoint the problem you facing. Somestimes its just minor problem will cost less.
