Sorry 3er if I have offended you. Not my intention. Totally agreed with you, if you want to compromise between aesthetic, performance and cost then 'plus 2' will be better choice then 'plus 3'. But being a crazy/mad people once you put a plus 2 then see a car looks nicer on plus 3 you will definitely get itchy. I have used plus 2 before change to plus 3 last year, in term of comfort I do not think there is much different between plus 2 and plus 3. The main thing you all should consider if you put on plus 2 or plus 3 is the type of rims and tyres used. If possible don't use replica because I believe it is not as strong as original rims. This is from my own experience. Then choice of tyre depends on your style of driving. If you put a 'good' tyre on plus 3 it will be as same as plus 2 with 'not so good' tyre in term of comfort. You must also keep in mind that a plus 3 tyre have lesser side wall height. Therefore the 'flex' during hard cornering is less. However if the tyre do break away and skidded on plus 3 the break away point before loss of grip is more sudden than the plus 1 or plus 2. Thats why on normal tyre you'll heard a lot of screeching sound before the tyre break away but on plus 3 it is less and sometime no sound before it break away and loss grip.
