Hi, am a newby here. Just got myself a 2004 E60 with the following tyre sizes - 245/ 35 ZR 19 at the front and 275/ 30 ZR 19 at the rear. The ride is a bit hard and was wondering if I cud change them to a 255/ 40 and 285/ 35 over the same rims. Anybody know if the original wheel arches can fit the increase in diameter (32.5 mm at the front and 34.5 mm at the rear precisely)? If possible, will be ride be any more comfortable? Appreciate if anyone could help me out here. Thanks much in advance.

As some of the members point out, not only tyre size that contribute to the comfort of the drive, the brand/make of the tyres is equally important.

Currently on Conti Sport Contact 3 and planning to use the same as they are 80% worn.

oddly, i realized that you get more comfort from higher tyre pressure.. about 34psi front and 36 rear. underinflation on the E60 i drove resulted in poor comfort; all tyres were about 29psi when i got it.
