Based on K&N FAQ on how some people get better FC is due to better efficiency of having more unburnt fuel combust with more air. Also notice carbon soot on my tailpipes, so maybe its running a bit on the rich side which can be offset with more air into the combustion chambers... So far both Speedrat and Ken says the K&N is a good mod on their cars. Then again their's are 330i's. I checked and BMW air filter part no is identical for both 325i and 330i. Only thing to keep in mind, do shorter interval oil changes!
