Noticed a problem the past few days but it's hard to describe. My car has starting twitching (I think thats the closest word, it's like a slight tug to the left or right) at speds over 80km/h. It's not constant...maybe once in a while I'll feel it. Mechanic said it's the tyres but I got them checked out and tyres were ok. Just one of the rims had a dent in it, but this cause the abovementioned problem. Wonder if any of you guys have any idea on this as it's really starting to get to me. Maybe it's psychological...I don't know.:(

Sounds like you have an alignment problem. Does this happen when you are driving over some undulating roads? It happened to my E36 - the tail was feeling twitchy. It was worse when it rains. Felt so unsecure when driving. Found that my toe alignment was out of spec. At the same time you should also check your absorbers & bushings for wear.

What car r u driving?

Another common culprit, esp for e36, is the rear trailing arm bush. As it wears out, it starts to get loose, causing the rear wheel to occasionally move.

Checked the alignment yesterday while at the tyre shop and it was fine, so that kinda rules out alignment and balancing for me.

Driving an E36 325i. Hmm, I'll go check out the trailing arm bushes then. Sounds like a possible cause. Didn't feel it at all today. Thanks for the replies guys.
