Thanks for the tip...but this self-proclaimed DIY adverse individual doesn't trust himself with heavy machinery and tools Seriously, it'd be awesome to build a caterham kit car, but it won't be cheap. I can get a 1991-1993 Miata sub $8k here and I reckon with $5k or less, I can make an enjoyable lightweight weekend auto-x car. A caterham kit car would end up costing mid-30's. Might as well get a used E36 M3 for that money.
