Hello all.. If i may intro myself as i just registered as a forum member (1 hour ago).. My name is Tommy and i'm driving a E39 525 (as stated in RC) year 2001 Japan Spec (Auto). I'm a newbie by the way! Hope all sifus and taikos can guide me. :) Just got myself this ride approx 2 months ago mileage clocked at 151k . Some maintenance/repair works done thus far :- 1. Engine Oil & Oil filter 2. A/c compressor 3. Electronic fan kaput. So temporary fixed the original fan clutch back. Subsequently, for the purpose of having a good maintenance, i decided to flush the GB, with new filter and gasket. Past 2 months there were no slips nor delays in changing gears. It was working perfectly well not until today AFTER i did the service, things went sour and totally reversed. :((. I experienced slow response from (standstill) gear 1, it took 0.5 seconds to respond when press the throttle. At 2nd gear it slipped and straight away switch into 3rd gear. Now it started to stabilize. At 4th & 5th gear seemed okay, but when i tried to full throttle the response is no where near as previous.. For info :- 1. Original BMW GB oil used (small grey colour bottled) 2. The workshop is a trusted ones and a specialist. Advised given to drive for another day and to see how the transmission responds as no faulty code appeared on scanner.. Perhaps any of you guys had encountered such situation?.. Kindly advise.. P/s - Did not had dinner tonight and no mood to work tmrw. ;(
