If I not mistaken Valvetronic sensor and motor only change if when you kick the trotter your car won't push forward....or the gear didn't changed...but if Gear box emergency mode is related back to sensor at the cam shaft. Sometimes this camshaft sensor issue also can caused your car to go to EML mode which is engine running but when engage gear your car didn't even move forward. I hit with EML and Gigi Error last time...same issue sensor kaput...happen when I try to go through water hole on the street on heavy rain. better becarefull E46 engine full of electronic parts that is sensitive to water...</p></blockquote><p></p>
